Learning Google+

Please "Follow this event" to get updates and notifications before the session starts.

This is the kickoff session for the "Learning Google+" course.
In this session, you will get an overview of Google+ and its many features, step-by-step help to create your profile, join a community and learn how to join a Hangout (video conference).

The objectives of the course are to
* Learn how the different features of G+ can be used in your work and personal life
* Find and join communities that are of interest to you
* Create a page or community for your work
* Meet new people
* Build your Personal Learning Network (PLN)

Most of the course work and instruction will be asynchronous and done using Google+. We will have times to come together and have a discussion around the week's topic.

While this session is the beginning of a deeper exploration of Google+, people who want to attend only this session to get an introduction to Google+ are welcome to participate.

This class will be held using NCSU's Blackboard Collaborate. Go to: http://go.ncsu.edu/configuration to verify that you have the required software (Java). If you are using Mac OS 10.8, it indicates that that is an unsupported OS, but it will work fine.
