All Bugs Good and Bad Webinar Series: Where Have All the Honey Bees Gone? Hope for the Future.

Why do we have fewer honeybees these days?  What caused the decline?  What can we do to help?  These questions and more will be answered in this webinar presented by Dr. John Skinner, a Professor in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology at the University of Tennessee. Moderated by Sallie Lee, Regional Extension Agent, Alabama Cooperative Extension System.  Click here to login as a guest and participate in the live event.  For more webinars in this series, see All Bugs Good and Bad 2014 Webinar Series. The webinars are brought to you by the following eXtension Communities of Practice: Imported Fire Ants, Urban IPM, Bee HealthInvasive Species and Gardens and Landscapes; and by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System

Sorry to those who had trouble with the links.  The link to the live webinar works for a few minutes before the webinar until it is over. After the webinar, if you click on "watch recording" you will be able to see the webinar.  I will add an explanation about the link to each of next year's webinars.  Thanks for pointing out the problem.

Just a note; Your links to the right of and below the image point to the fireant seminar, not the bees presentation.

Thanks, Russ. Our partnership to present the webinars is through the Imported Fire Ant Community of Practice and we log in through that page for each of our webinars. The Fire Ant CoP is also one of our many sponsors for the All Bugs Good and Bad Webinar series. This link will take you directly to the webinar on Friday, November 7th. It is not active until then. Thank you!

I had notice that when I was killing carpenter ants on my red oak  tree with orange oil that I use with vinegar to kill weeds . I use only the orange oil to kill ants, the bees would go to the bark stay  for a moment then would fly away. Also when we use furniture that has orange in it we see he bees us. I think that orange oil is messing the bees hives.
