Cooperative Interstate Shipment: How's It Working Out?

Ohio and Wisconsin were the first two states to qualify for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety Inspection Service's new Cooperative Interstate Shipment Program, which allows state-inspected meats (from qualifying plants) to be shipped across state lines.

On this webinar, state inspection program directors and plant operators from both Ohio and Wisconsin will tell us why their states signed up and how it’s working out so far, for the agencies and participating plants. An official from FSIS will provide background on the CIS program.

The webinar is hosted by the Niche Meat Processor Assistance Network (, with collaboration from USDA-FSIS.
