Many farmers see selling to restaurants as a next step to selling at the farmers market. Selling to restaurants can be very different from selling direct to consumers. With demand for local food continually increasing, the goal of this program is to help you consider the different aspects of selling to restaurants so you can determine if this is a good fit for your farm. This two-hour Adobe Connect webinar is part of the ongoing "2014 Beginning Farmer Webinar Series." MSU Extension Educator Michelle Walk will present information and practical approaches to consider in selling product to restaurants. Communicating products available and developing relationships with buyers are among the topics that will be covered. Questions and discussion will take place through the webinar 'chat' function. Supporting written materials will be available for download during and after the webinar. Participants will receive the webinar URL after their registration and payment is received. A recording of the webinar will be made available to registered participants.
