Dr. Maria (Lupita) G. Fabregas worked in UPAEP University, Mexico for 29 years as department head and director of financial aid and alumni relations. In 2002, she moved to the United States and worked as director of the UPAEP liaison office in the United States for ten years. In 2013 she accepted a clinical assistant professor position in the College of Human Sciences at Oklahoma State University, as multicultural and community engagement specialist.
She designs and delivers intercultural competence trainings to students, professors, and the general public on how to effectively interact with people from different cultures. She has written more than 20 journal articles. Her interest in research and professional development areas are intercultural competency, diversity, international research projects, and community engagement.
