All eXtension users interested in eXtension youth content are invited to join the For Youth, For Life Community of Practice for updates and to learn about working on preparing content for the live site. We'll review the process of reviewing, editing, and publishing existing content. We'll also take a look at two content outlines where approximately 100 new pages (on water and financial literacy) need to be processed for publishing. A content outline is one of the first tasks of a new team so, for practice, we'll review these two content outlines briefly to solicit any changes that attendees may suggest. A new content team is forming in the area of geospatial technologies for youth as well so we'll spend a few minutes brainstorming on the geospatial content outline.
Who is our ultimate audience? We're preparing content for a youth audience using a default reading level of 6th or 7th grade. We also must design questions and topics from a youth perspective. Can you think like a 5th or 6th grader?
Questions from the attendees will be addressed and then the session will wrap up with a brief discussion of activities coming up in 2012.
