In this webinar, you will learn about the 4H futures program. Since 2002 the Missouri 4-H Youth Futures: College Within Reach Program, has promoted college as an attainable goal for high school youth who are not typically encouraged to attend college, such as first-generation college students. 4-H Youth Futures is an extensive college orientation program that includes on-going local mentoring, college visits and a college orientation conference on the University of Missouri – Columbia (MU) campus. The goal of the program is to help first-generation, marginalized and vulnerable youth prepare for college, attend and graduate. Some of the Youth Futures sites are funded through CYFAR and the National 4-H Council’s National Mentoring Program grant. This is the first year for state replication.
