Part 1 will provide an introductory-type course focused on the language, terms, and background pertaining to the LGBT community, offering insight and guidance in working with this population. , is an Associate Professor of Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota. She studies the well-being of young people who identify as transgender with a specific focus on ways that family environments can best support healthy development.
