Members of the steering committee of the newly formed, Network Literacy Community of Practice (CoP) will discuss what network literacy is, how the CoP plans to engage professionals in communities built around learning in networks, and how you can participate in the effort.
With so many social networking tools and buzzwords, it can be a challenge to know where to start and what benefits may come from participating in the networked environment. The Network Literacy CoP aims to help military family service professionals and Extension professionals navigate these waters.
Network literacy is the ability to use online networks to learn, teach, create, share, and build in both personal and professional communities. Network literacy also encompasses understanding the social, economic, and political implications of online knowledge flows.
