Poo is not to play with: Manure Handling Safety

Join us for a “tank full” of safety topics on manure handling. Penn State University extension professionals will share on the dangers associated with agitation, confined spaces, safe operating procedures, ventilation recommendations, and worker safety. The presentation will focus on toxic gas production including hydrogen sulfide. Best practices will be presented on safety and worker protection will be emphasized. Multiple online resources will be discussed to assist participants with safety issues.  

An application for continuing education credit for Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs) and members of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS) will be submitted.
