Programming for Clientele with Developmental Disabilities

Providing opportunities for Extension educators and volunteers to learn how to effectively engage individuals with developmental disabilities in their programming is essential to our diversity and inclusion mandate. Programming for Clientele with Developmental Disabilities Professional Development Series, a research and practice-informed training program launched by Rutgers Cooperative Extension, equips educators with a better understanding of developmental disabilities; the characteristics and needs associated with different learning styles; how to identify, prevent and manage problematic behaviors; and instructional techniques and program modifications and accommodations that promote successful learning for clientele with developmental disabilities in an inclusive setting. Join Michelle F. Brill, FCHS Educator and Jeannette Rea Keywood, State 4-H Agent for this informative webinar.
