Getting started with the physical labor of farming

Ned will discuss the physical workload of starting a farm...hours per day, days per year, lifting, bending, crawling, carrying, digging, reaching, etc.  This is a realistic look at the effort you will face for various farm enterprises and tools to help you work more efficiently, especially if you are not in perfect health condition.

This program is part of a 12-webinar Michigan State University Extension 2019 Beginning Farmer Webinar Series. A descriptive flyer and on-line registration and payment for any or all of the webinars is available at https://events.anr.msu.edu/begfrmr19/. A registration fee of $5 per webinar, or $30 for all 12 webinars is required.  Limited scholarships are available – contact MSU Extension Educator Jim Isleib at isleibj@msu.edu for scholarship details.  If you register after a webinar is completed, a link to a recording of the completed webinars will be provided.
