Fire Ant Control Made Easy

Frustrated trying to control fire ants? If so, join us for an online seminar, Fire Ant Control Made Easy, on Thursday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. EDT.

Killing fire ants is actually easier than you think—if you understand how they live. This seminar will help you learn how to apply integrated pest management tactics that are as economical and environmentally friendly as possible. You’ll also learn about fire ant biological control agents such as the Pseudacteon phorid flies.

If you have specific questions that you want us to address during the webinar, post them to the Imported Fire Ant eXtension Facebook page (Fire Ant Info).

Find more information on fire ants at www.extension.org/fire+ants or on Facebook (Fire Ant Info), Twitter (@FireAntInfo), or YouTube (eXfireants).

I watched the archived recording. I am a consulting landscape ecologist (my primary client is the USDA Forest Service). I am also the Associate Executive Director of the Amphibian and Reptile Conservancy, a non-profit support organization for PARC, a large public-private partnership focused on herpetofauna conservation. RIFA have been implicated in the decline of many native amphibian, reptile and other species in the southern US. I would like to see future events strongly emphasize the impacts of RIFA AND various treatment options on native species and natural systems. Thank you, Jeff Holmes Jeffreynholmes@comcast.net or jholmes@amphibiansreptiles.org

Jeff, Your suggestions are very good. I will notify our experts in these areas and see when they can do a webinar on this topic.

I'd like to listen to this event, but I was not able to attend it live. Will the recording be posted? It was aired four days ago.
